AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) INSTRUCTOR
Date/Time: Fri 6/27/2025 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Location: Saint Clare's Health Dover - Training Center Classroom 1
Class Price: $225.00

The AHA BLS Instructor Course is taught in a blended learning format.  The BLS instructor candidate must first complete the “BLS Instructor Essentials” course on-line which can be purchased from AHA ShopCPR at “shopcpr.heart.org/bls-instructor-essentials-online”. The certificate of completion for the on-line course must be printed and brought the day of the in-person class. 

To become an AHA BLS Instructor, the instructor candidate must:

  • Be accepted by an AHA Training Center and have a completed Instructor Candidate Application on file with that accepting Training Center.
  • Have a current BLS Provider certification and be proficient in all BLS skills.
  • Successfully complete both the on-line and in-person portions of the BLS Instructor Essentials Course
  • Successfully be monitored teaching their first course within 6 months of completing the instructor course
  • Register on the AHA Instructor Network and be confirmed by their primary Training Center to obtain their instructor ID number.

We provide two options for group classes with a minimum of 6 registered students:

  1. Onsite classes - We come to you!
  2. Private classes - Come to our facility! You schedule the date and time.

Replacement Cards 

Please call our office at 973-989-3213.  We will verify your information; and with payment, print and mail a duplicate card.  For BLS Healthcare Provider and Heartsaver CPR/AED and/or HeartSaver First Aid, replacement card cost is $10.00.  For ACLS and PALS replacement card cost is $15.00.
