Prime IV Therapy Hybrid Course

The Prime IV therapy course is a Hybrid course which includes a combination of online modules, in class modules and hands on return demonstration.  It is expected that the learner will complete the self-study modules in HealthStream and come prepared to class. The Education Department will assign the self-study modules in HealthStream once enrollment is confirmed.

This course is designed to provide designated healthcare providers (per job description) the knowledge and skill needed to safely initiate, maintain, monitor and discontinue peripheral intravenous (IV) therapy.  

Successful completion of the course requires:

  • Completion of online modules prior to class attendance.
  • Attendance at the entire class.
  • Completion of a pre-test.
  • Successful completion of a post-test with an 80%.
  • Completion of an evaluation.

6.7 contact hours will be awarded to participants who successfully complete the course.

 

Participants who do not successfully pass the post-test will be remediated and required to take another version of the exam.me IV therapy Hybrid Course

Need a class for 6 or more students?  Let us help you organize a group class!

We provide two options for group classes with a minimum of 6 registered students:

  1. Onsite classes - We come to you!
  2. Private classes - Come to our facility! You schedule the date and time.

Replacement Cards 

Please call our office at 973-989-3213.  We will verify your information; and with payment, print and mail a duplicate card.  For BLS Healthcare Provider and Heartsaver CPR/AED and/or HeartSaver First Aid, replacement card cost is $10.00.  For ACLS and PALS replacement card cost is $15.00.
