Resuscitation in Action – ALS

This resuscitation course is intended to be a follow up to the ACLS course on Healthstream. It is tailored for healthcare professionals seeking to enhance their skills in Advanced Cardiac Life Support within a hospital setting. The course provides a comprehensive review of the latest ACLS guidelines and protocols, emphasizing rapid assessment, prompt decision-making, and effective teamwork during cardiac emergencies. Through a combination of interactive lectures, hands-on simulation scenarios, and case study analyses, participants will gain confidence in recognizing life-threatening conditions, performing critical interventions, and coordinating multidisciplinary resuscitation efforts. Ideal for physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals, this course equips learners with the expertise needed to improve patient outcomes during high-stakes resuscitation situations.

You should prepare for class by doing the following:

• Review and understand the information in your ALS Provider Manual.
• Complete the American Red Cross ALS online course assigned to you in Healthstream. This assignment is extensive so please allow yourself sufficient time to complete it prior to class.

NOTE: YOU WILL NOT BE ADMITTED TO THE CLASS UNLESS THIS ASSIGNMENT IS COMPLETED.

• Complete your Evaluation at the end of the online portion.
• In-person skills completion may be included as part of the class, however, is not required prior to class.
