Rapid Response / Cardiac Arrest Boot Camp

 

This course is intended to be a follow up to the American Red Cross BLS course via Healthstream. It is designed to equip healthcare professionals with the essential BLS skills and knowledge needed to respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations in the hospital setting. Participants will learn the core principles of rapid assessment, decision-making under pressure, and multidisciplinary teamwork. The curriculum covers topics such as early recognition of patient deterioration, rapid response/code blue activation protocols, communication strategies, and the integration of basic life support measures. Through a combination of interactive lectures, simulation exercises, and case studies, learners will enhance their ability to stabilize critically ill patients and collaborate efficiently with rapid response teams. This course is ideal for nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals committed to improving patient outcomes in emergency situations.

You should prepare for class by doing the following:

  • Review and understand the information in your BLS Provider Manual.
  • Complete the American Red Cross BLS online course assigned to you in Healthstream. This assignment is extensive so please allow yourself sufficient time to complete it prior to class.

NOTE: YOU WILL NOT BE ADMITTED TO THE CLASS UNLESS THIS ASSIGNMENT IS COMPLETED.

  • Complete your Evaluation at the end of the online portion.
  • In-person skills completion may be included as part of the class, however, is not required prior to class.

Need a class for 6 or more students?  Let us help you organize a group class!

We provide two options for group classes with a minimum of 6 registered students:

  1. Onsite classes - We come to you!
  2. Private classes - Come to our facility! You schedule the date and time.

Replacement Cards 

Please call our office at 973-989-3213.  We will verify your information; and with payment, print and mail a duplicate card.  For BLS Healthcare Provider and Heartsaver CPR/AED and/or HeartSaver First Aid, replacement card cost is $10.00.  For ACLS and PALS replacement card cost is $15.00.
